A playful and exploratory workshop where we let go of control and throw ourselves into a free and experimental knitting process. This is not about perfect stitches, but about feeling the material, exploring colors, textures, and possibilities—and perhaps even discovering something new about ourselves along the way.
Forget the rules for a moment and let your hands take the lead. Through improvisation and small creative challenges, we will challenge our ideas about what knitting should be and instead discover what it can be. Based on Albert's design Mientras Cae el Cielo (While the Sky Falls), which is based on a half-patent pattern, we will dive into the endless possibilities and patterns that can be created from just a simple idea.
Expect presence, community, laughter, wonder, frustration, and “aha” moments. We will play with the material, let go of control, and explore how handicrafts can be a path to both creative expression and personal development.
Bring: At least 5 sets of knitting needles in different sizes and at least 8 types of leftover yarn—the more variety, the better!
