Bær Dine Fejl

  • Harreslev-Kobbermølle Danske Skole 90 Süderstraße Harrislee, SH, 24955 Germany (map)

Since 2022, award-winning bassist, composer, and knitwear designer Albert Reinholdt Østergaard has been performing to packed houses across the country with his musical knitwear story Bær Dine Fejl (Wear Your Flaws), and now he's coming your way.

He will be accompanied by his faithful friend, his double bass Ælse, and will play along to community singing, entertain with humorous tales of knitting in Cuban dance clubs, and, not least, create an intimate atmosphere that celebrates the human fragility we all feel. Based on Albert's own story, the evening brings up themes such as bullying and self-esteem.

Albert also talks about the healing powers knitting has had for him, and how he sees clear similarities and crucial differences between playing music and knitting, and how you can knit the free spirit of jazz into your sweaters—a concept he calls improvisational knitting.

So grab your knitting needles, warm up your vocal cords, and join us for an evening of top-class entertainment as Albert sets the tone on the bass.
