International Knitting Community

  • Bryggekælderen 15 Njalsgade København, 2300 Denmark (kort)

Join us for a cozy and welcoming knitting evening on 30th of March, from 17:00–21:00, created especially with internationals in mind — but open to all nationalities. The main language will be English, yet all languages are welcome, and the evening is as much about meeting people and exchanging cultures as it is about knitting.

This is a relaxed drop-in event, so feel free to come and go whenever it suits you. Whether you’ve never knitted before or already have a project in your bag, you’re very welcome. You can learn how to knit during the event, share techniques, or simply enjoy working side by side with others. Yarn and needles will be available to borrow, so you don’t need to bring anything to get started.

Knitting is a wonderful way to slow down, talk, listen, and connect across backgrounds. Stitches create space for conversations, stories, and quiet moments together. You’re welcome to bring your own food, and coffee, tea, wine, and beer can be bought at the venue. Snacks will be provided.
The event takes place in the basement of Islands Brygge Library (jeg har glemt hvad stedet hed helt præcist).
The evening is hosted by Albert, a knitter and creative facilitator who believes knitting is about curiosity, sharing, and community rather than perfection. He’ll be there to help beginners get started, answer questions, and support a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
Come as you are — we look forward to knitting with you.
